It’s easy to be overwhelmed by the prospect of sitting the UMAT, but Khoi and his team were super effective at breaking it down and explaining the best approaches. This way, we were able to acquire a range of skills that we could all develop individually according to our needs. Each tutor was not only able to effectively tutor the UMAT and all its nitty gritty details, but they were also able to offer advice on subject selections, interviews, universities and anything related to Yr12 in general, even taking time outside of class to answer any questions that you think of. I could honestly see my, as well as my peer’s, progress improve weekly, which is hard to find with other group tuition places. The tutors at umed are honestly amazing, and go above and beyond to ensure everyone's potential is maximised. Umat is very overwhelming, but the unique teaching styles, including Khoi's section 3 rules, and the emphasis on teaching different methods of approaching different styles of questions, rather than rote learning solutions was invaluable preparation for the exam, allowing me to answer questions efficiently. All of the tutors dedicated so much of their time in making sure we grasped a solid understanding of the concepts taught and were always more than happy to explain anything again, helping us find ways to solve problems that best suited us. I also really enjoyed the environment that the tutors created in class; I felt encouraged, and very comfortable in asking questions. I found the friendly atmosphere created by the group learning environment helpful when studying for a stressful exam. There were definitely moments when the exam seemed impossible, and I wanted to give up, but just talking to the tutors and listening to one of their motivational speeches made me feel like I could accomplish my goals. They really are the only people who made umat enjoyable and make sense, and I highly recommend them to anyone.
