2014 Cohort:

Khoi is an absolutely fantastic teacher in his unique style and ability to transform and inspire any student. His program gave me the confidence and knowledge that I could try and reach my best potential. More than that, he tailors his style to best suit the student

Khoi has a unique way of teaching UMAT that incorporates a set of techniques that seems to work for almost every question! He tries to make it interesting, so lessons are always enjoyable even with the amount of material we cover each week. He takes the time to explain each question you get wrong, no matter how long it takes, so that you gain the much-needed confidence in your abilities to perform well when the exam comes around.

I can’t thank Khoi and the team at UMed for getting me through the UMAT and consequently into my first preference- Medicine at the University of Adelaide. After trying several other UMAT courses and being unsuccessful at my first attempt at the UMAT, I believe the preparation offered by Khoi is the best prep out there and is a huge part of why I was successful at my second attempt.

What separated them from any other preparation courses I have done is their precise and methodical approach to preparation. Khoi mapped out from the start the amount and regularity of prep that was going to be required in order to maximise my chances of being successful with the UMAT. Over subsequent sessions he provided me with unique strategies to efficiently tackle all types of UMAT questions. This methodical approach and the unique techniques he taught me allowed me to develop a great deal of confidence going into the UMAT.

The improvement in my results was beyond anything I ever expected! My Section 1 score improved from 60th percentile to 92nd percentile and my Section 3 score improved from 64th percentile to 94th percentile. I attribute these improvements solely to the unique techniques I learnt during my prep. Once again just want to say a huge thanks to the team at UMed, nothing could’ve prepared me better for the UMAT. I really can’t thank you enough!! From a very happy student.

Khoi and Peter are friendly guys that are experienced in preparing students for UMAT and helping them to succeed. They give students a variety of questions to better prepare them for any situation and are clear in their explanations of all problems.

When confronted with the wide array of information and resources that all claim to help prepare for the UMAT, it can be difficult to determine which products best represent the test itself.

The tutors are able to sort out the different problems that may appear in the test and explain them in a way that is clear and logical. They go the extra mile in ensuring that every single student can achieve the best they can, even so far as being responsive to personal calls.

Being placed in an environment of similar high achievers only adds to the experience; forming friendships that will last long after the lessons end

I can confidently say that Khoi was one of the best tutors I have ever had. His bubbly personality and interaction with us students made it fun to be there despite the stressful times. Khoi has an efficient and experienced teaching method that he has developed over several years which allowed us to glide through the UMAT testing with ease. Not only was Khoi a great mentor, but he was also a very caring friend. He always put his students first and tried his best to ensure that we were doing well in all aspects. The amount of effort he put into us really motivated me to try harder, particularly during tough times. I was so fortunate to have had the opportunity to have Khoi as my tutor, and I would strongly recommend him to everyone who is determined to pass UMAT with flying colours.
